Our Afro curl texture is the tightest curl pattern we offer. This curl pattern was mindfully crafted to give a natural afro curl that, in comparison to many other afro curl textures, is able to be easily maintained. When it comes to lace cranial prosthesis wig units, a curl pattern that is too tight can be hard to maintain, and combing or brushing the curly pattern can cause the lace to tear. This texture has a balanced tight curl pattern, revealing tons of voluptuous volume, body, and dimension to the wearer. Additional density can be purchased to take your wig unit to even greater heights. A wide tooth comb or denman brush will be able to easily navigate through this texture without damaging your wig cap construction. The hair can be combed out to reveal a stylish afro. When washed, conditioned, and air dried this curl pattern reveals a soft and coily texture. The styling opportunities with this texture are also very vast. A roller set can manipulate this curl pattern into a wide spectrum of coily patterns. Simply wash and condition your wig unit to reveal its original curl pattern. This texture has been chemically processed to achieve this texture. For this reason, heat styling is not recommended. Similar to natural Afro curly hair, repetitive heat styling can alter the curl pattern. Please note: never brush your curls when dry. This texture is not recommended for a wig novice. However, with the appropriate love and patience, your unit will shine!

This chart is a useful guide for estimating the length of your lace wig unit.
Please note that your wig units hair is measured prior to the wig unit being processed for texture. We recommend adding at least four inches to your desired length for highly textured wigs.

Below are pictures of the different density levels that you can choose for your wig unit. Density is defined as how thick or thin you want the hair to be ventilated on your wig unit. The standard density for our wig units is 100% at the hair line which fades to 130% density throughout the wig unit.
50-60% = Extra Light Density
70-80% = Light Density
100-110% = Light to Medium Density
120-130% = Medium Density
140-150% = Medium to Heavy Density
170-180% = Heavy Density

Measuring your head is essential to determining the right size wig for you. Below are the steps necessary to measure your head.
1. Measure the circumference of your head from the front hairline
2. Measure behind your ear
3. Measure from the nape of your neck, to your other ear and then back to the front hairline is necessary.
4. Please check the table chart below for your correct size
Step 1. Prepare your hair by either pulling it back and making it as flat as possible, braiding it into small cornrows, or wrapping it tightly under a wig cap. We recommend wearing a wig cap for a more scalp-like appearance. The end goal is to get your hair as flat as possible for the wig to lay as flat as possible upon your head.
Step 2. Once the hair is organized in braids or under a wig cap, it's time to seal the knots on your wig. We recommend applying a small amount of knot sealer to the lace as directed on the package and allowing it to dry prior to application. Knot sealer is specially formulated to support and protect the knots of your wig so that they do not easily rip from the lace. Stronger hair knots help you avoid excess shedding and prolong the life of your wig.
Step 3: Now it's time to cut the lace on your wig. Carefully cut the extra lace around the perimeter of your wig up to where the hair is knotted. Be careful to not cut into the hairline of your wig.
Step 4. Next, position your wig on your head leaving enough room above your hairline to prep your skin.
Step 5. Apply alcohol with a cotton ball or paper towel to clean skin around the edges of your natural hairline. This removes all excess oils from your skin.
Step 6.Apply scalp protector to skin in cleaned areas
Step 7 Apply your adhesive to your hair line. We recommend wig glue or wig tape for this step. A hair dryer can be used to speed up the drying process.
Step 8 Gently put on your wig until the edges of your lace align with your natural hair line.
Step 9 Part and style your hair to make it look as natural as possible. Some clients add concealer to the lace to define the parting space. Excess hair can also be used to further define your parting space.
Step 10 Style your hair as desired!
Choosing when to wash your wig unit is a practice of personal choice. We recommend a minimum of once every one to two weeks. Some signs that your wig needs a little TLC is when it becomes dry, matted, and dirty. Be sure to avoid over washing your wig unit. This can alter your curl pattern, and lead to premature shedding. Wearing a wig cap under your wig, and removing your wig before bed will help lengthen its life span.
Step 1: Detangle your wig
We recommend using a wide tooth comb or your hands for this step. Starting from the ends of the hair, slowly work your hand or comb up to the roots of the hair while gently freeing any tangles out of the hair. This step will help you avoid ripping the lace while washing your wig unit.
Step 2: Rinse
Next, it's time to get wet. Gently rinse your wig unit in cool to lukewarm water. Once soaked, gently remove any excess moisture with your hands.
Step 3: Apply Shampoo
Now it's time to cleanse your wig unit. We recommend a clarifying shampoo specially formulated for lace wigs. Place the recommended amount of shampoo in the palms of your hands. Slowly work the shampoo into a lather and work the lather from the roots to the ends of the hair. Be gentle when shampooing your hair to avoid premature breakage. Take caution to avoid your wigs scalp.
Step 4: Rinse the shampoo
Cool water is recommended to rinse the shampoo out from your wig unit. Once shampoo free, use a towel to gently blot the wig unit free of any excess moisture. We recommend using a microfiber towel.
Step 5: Conditioner
We recommend a specially formulated wig conditioner for this step. Starting from the bottom, work a small amount of the conditioner into the hair. Similar to the shampoo, be sure to avoid applying the conditioner directly to the wigs scalp. Once applied to the wig unit, allow the conditioner to sit for the recommended time frame, or up to 5 minutes. Once complete, starting from the top of the wig unit, rinse the wig unit with cold water. Gently use your microfiber towel to blot the wig unit free of any excess moisture.
Step 6: Dry
The best way to dry your wig unit is to allow it to air dry. If possible, leave your wig on your wig stand or mannequin overnight so that it can completely dry. If in a rush, you can also blow dry the wig unit on a low cool setting. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO BURN YOUR LACE. Once your wig is fully dry, you can style the unit as normal.
